Well the last few days have been hard slog,  tried to finish of front yard west side,  and completed today.  Dont think my tan bark is thick enough but can get more.

Managed to sort out a lot of bits and pieces....  still havent found the missing items   like camera, harddrive, jewellery,  12 man tent.....lost in transit....  not sure if I am peeved or super peeved....  but wont get the items back so maybe relax and let go.

So after hauling rocks ...  thank goodness the the bulk of them,  so cleared out the original dog pen,  it is almost ready for making into green house,  to try to have more vegies during those times when they dont normally grow.

Also have time to make sure soil is nutricious.

So am going to try and post the photos before bed and celebrate Australia Day tomorrow,  with BBQ breakfast put on by the LIONS club,  Wonderful group,  and cooked by our fabulous firemen.  Way to go guys and many thanks

Will have to post tomorrow as just too tired and sore today :0

Wishing all a great Australia Day,  and more importantly  a safe day and long weekend,  keep safe on the roads :)

Miscellaneous pics of house & yard at various stages

And an old 1950's cellar  ...  wonder what I can do with this to make good use of the space and coolness ????

KITCHEN 120610-1151-3107 before it was trashed and door moved to verandah

KITCHEN  130502 -  think someone had the idea of changing sloping ceiling to flat  -  and plaster coming down around my ears  -   Am sure 2 days cooling off  is a little out :)

KITCHEN_130505 - found some plasterboard to prop up the plaster,  what fun

1950's  Outhouse and my new toolshed on far end,  then huge dog pen -  taken through my lovely clean Kitchen windows :)

Kitchen from Verandah,  whoops,  give this is not a Clivebuilit Kitchen :)

BACK STEPS,  without railing on verandah and cant even see the outhouse for the overgrowth

WHAT fantastic electrical wiring :)

Another example of wiring not done by an electrician

ORIGINAL back stairs under verandah on West Side

Dont really want to see how much of my stuff was stacked into the garage instead of the house...  at least it kept me out of trouble and busy

THANKS to Grace & Katy.  All the floor boards stacked and tidy and room to swing a cat in the garage now :)

EVEN found an old kitchen cupboard from the 50's  now to fix this and other furniture damaged in transit
SOME of the trees that have been lopped thanks to Guy :)

Now I can see more of the rolling hills to the North :)

And even the vegie patch with a border of tatters,  with mulch etc...  see if they produce this year :)

The start of my front garden using the wet newspaper and mulch

Well that is enough photos for today,  will post some more as we do more work
What a day

Some pictures of work to be done

Put shade cloth on outside of West windows to help keep rooms cooler when weather over 44 deg C and found my weatherboard problems :)

Looks like a bad paint job on window edging

After some drought and great help   from Guy, Sarah, Rowan and Esme...  Thanks Guys :)

looking at my new/old house from south east corner

and 3 mths later

Had a lovely day,  cool change after 3-4 days of over 43 deg C,   nice and warm,  went out to Willow Grove and in the views around Blue Rock dam.  Nice change from working and being dirty day :)  Summer & Anne who have been helping me got to see some our our glorious scenery.
Great after the bushfire at Westbury.   Fortunately for us,  wind was blowing away from here but the smoke was so thick the moon ended up a bright orange colour which was awesome.

Today I hated Bunnings :)

Went from cold yesterday to scorcher today,  but had to go to Bunnings to get a drill with reverse motion.

Shows how old my 3 drill are.  Got to Bunnings and it was like a sweat shop.  No attendants,  and all sales people I talked to said they couldnt find the drill I saw online at Bunnings,  and the common excuse was..... "I dont work in this department " DUH

Needless to say I walked out with an Ozito,  after my transaction was bungled 3 times.  Too messed in head to even want a cold drink.   So home,  actually went to pool first,  and took a dip to cool down and walked home from there.......... items were delivered  to house.... TU MARY :)  and then the weather cooled and breeze was lovely.

Making a lead so can have external power board,  rewired wrong end,  so gave up for the day,   then Viola found out I need a name for blog  and not my gmail name :)  so here I am and about to call it a night.    Tomorrow I will start from the beginning :)
